Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at FAQ@pinkribbondiamonds.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Our jewellery is adorned with lab-created diamonds for two significant reasons. Firstly, natural pink diamonds are rare and expensive, making them a luxury for the few. Secondly, by using lab-created diamonds, we can offer our beautiful pieces at a more affordable price, making them accessible to a wider range of customers.

Lab-created diamonds are indeed real diamonds in every sense except their origin. Here's why:

  1. Chemical Composition: Lab-created diamonds have the same chemical composition as natural diamonds. Both are composed of carbon atoms arranged in the crystal structure characteristic of diamonds. This means they exhibit the same physical and chemical properties.
  2. Physical Properties: Like natural diamonds, lab-created diamonds are extremely hard and durable. They are suitable for everyday wear and can withstand the rigors of daily life.
  3. Optical Properties: Lab-created diamonds possess the same brilliance, sparkle, and fire as natural diamonds. They are cut and polished using the same techniques to maximize their optical beauty.
  4. Grading and Certification: Lab-created diamonds are graded using the same criteria as natural diamonds—based on the 4Cs (cut, color, clarity, and carat weight). They can also be certified by gemological laboratories like GIA (Gemological Institute of America) or IGI (International Gemological Institute).
  5. Advantages of lab-created diamonds: Ethically sourced diamonds are produced in controlled environments using advanced technology. They eliminate the environmental and social concerns associated with mining natural diamonds, making them a responsible choice for the socially and environmentally conscious consumer. In summary, while the origin of lab-created diamonds differs from that of natural diamonds, they are chemically, physically, and optically identical. Whether discussing durability, beauty, or certification, lab-created diamonds meet all the criteria of "real" diamonds, offering a sustainable and ethical alternative without compromising on quality.

Finding out your ring size can be done in several ways:

  1. Using a Ring Sizer Tool: Many jewellery stores offer ring sizer tools that you can use to measure your finger. These tools usually consist of a set of rings in various sizes. You can try them on until you find the one that fits comfortably.
  2. Visit a Jewellery Store: Visiting a local jewellery store is a reliable option. They have professionals who can measure your finger using a ring sizer tool or sizing rings.
  3. Use a Printable Ring Size Guide: Online printable ring size guides are available from jewellery websites. These guides provide a strip of paper with markings for different ring sizes. You wrap the paper around your finger and mark where it overlaps to determine your size.
  4. Measure with a String or Strip of Paper: You can also measure your finger using a piece of string or a strip of paper. Wrap it around your finger and mark where it overlaps. Then, measure the length in millimeters. Use a sizing chart (available online) to convert the measurement to your ring size.
  5. Use an Existing Ring: If you already have a ring that fits the same finger you want to wear the new ring on, you can measure the inside diameter of the ring. Match this measurement to a ring size chart to determine your size.
  6. Consider the Fit: A ring's fit can vary depending on its width. Wider rings usually require a larger size for a comfortable fit than narrower rings.

Measure your ring size accurately to ensure it fits comfortably. If you're unsure, consult with a jeweller for professional advice and measurement.

Lastly, if the ring does not fit once you receive it from us, you can ship it back to us at your expense to adjust the size. We will not charge you to resize the ring or for the shipment back to you once the adjustment has been completed.
